This happened as I was under deadline. Great advise, Diva! Grief MUST be dealt with on it's schedule. I was determined to hold off on grieving the loss of my father (and father in-law 6 months later) until I'd finished writing. But the writing didn't happen (7 months had passed at that point) until a counselor friend advised me to write my father a letter, expressing all of my emotions. I was amazed that after I did so, I finished the remaining 150 pages within two weeks.
